Treatment of toxoplasmosis with folk remedies Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic disease. This disease is caused by parasites "toxoplasmic gondies"( parasites belong to the group of protozoa).Parasites when ingested into a human or animal body immediately begin to multiply in the cells of the intestine, forming an oocyst( the word originated from the Greek egg kystis-bladder), then they come out with feces. In the external environment, oocysts can ripen three to four days, after which they become infectious, this property can persist for up to one year, and even more. In this article we will talk about the treatment of toxoplasmosis with folk remedies.

Not only domestic animals but also wild birds and animals are affected. For humans, the infected animal is the main source of infection.

Paths of infection with toxoplasmosis:

  • Contaminated water, unwashed fruits and vegetables, insufficiently roasted meats, raw ground meat, dirty hands.
  • Through the mucous membranes( mouth, vagina, eyes) and skin from infected pets.

Most often, toxoplasmosis occurs in workers' livestock breeders, meat processing plants, veterinarians, parasitologists, zoologists, medical personnel of hospitals and maternity homes.

Types of toxoplasmosis.

There is an innate, as well as acquired toxoplasmosis.

Acquired toxoplasmosis parasitizes in different tissues intracellularly, is removed from the intestine, mucous membranes of the nose, mouth, eyes, lungs, kidneys.

The incubation period can last up to several weeks after the onset of the first symptoms. In acute forms of the disease, the patient should be isolated.

Congenital toxoplasmosis is acquired during pregnancy from the mother, and can lead to various brain damage to the fetus, mental retardation, paralysis, malformations, enlargement of the spleen, liver, jaundice. Severe congenital consequences can lead to the death of a child already born and lived a few days. Sometimes the disease can cause miscarriage or death of the fetus, especially in the early stages.

In order to detect toxoplasmosis during pregnancy, serological reactions are made, allowing the detection of antibodies and the presence of the immunoglobulin "M".

Signs of toxoplasmosis.

Symptoms include: headache, weakness, enlarged lymph nodes( especially on the neck).Muscle pain, frequent pulse, shortness of breath, fever. Sometimes diarrhea, pink-blistering rash, visual impairment, pain in the right hypochondrium and heart area can be observed.

There are five forms of the disease with its characteristic symptoms:

  • enlarged lymph nodes and fever;
  • typhoid-like form is accompanied by high fever, pink-white blister rash on the soles and lower legs;
  • is a brain form with signs of inflammation, both the brain itself and its membranes, a significant increase in body temperature;
  • the eye form affects the vascular tract of the eye, optic nerve, retina;
  • cardiovascular form is accompanied by damage to blood vessels and the heart, often in the process of the disease first the lymphatic system starts, and then the nervous system.

In the presence of these symptoms to confirm the diagnosis of toxoplasmosis it is necessary to make an analysis that allows to identify the antibody in the serum of the patient.

Prophylaxis and treatment with folk remedies.

To prevent this disease, a good folk remedy is eating grated horseradish: 1 tbsp. A spoonful of horseradish is used with mayonnaise or with sour cream during meals three times a day, for three days, if desired, longer. Scientists have proved that horseradish phytoncides are capable of destroying these parasites.

If we consider that in case of toxoplasmosis in the brain muscle zone there are seals, which in turn provokes the formation of blood clots with complications, then as a preventive measure it is recommended to take horse chestnut.

The extract can be prepared by yourself at home: 5 medium chestnuts are taken, the brown crust is cut off, which is then ground. The resulting powder is placed in a glass dark jar and poured into 40 o usual vodka in an amount of 100 ml. Infusion should be insisted for 3 days, while in the morning and evening the vessel should be shaken. To treat toxoplasmosis inside take thirty drops three times a day before meals for 10 minutes, for one month.

Chestnut extract can reduce blood clotting, protect against the appearance of blood clots, strengthen the walls of capillaries and veins.

As is known, treatment of toxoplasmosis is carried out with the help of antibiotics. However, instead of antibiotics, you can use the following folk remedy - alcohol extract of propolis, which is prepared as follows: a quarter of a glass of boiled chilled water is added 30 drops of 30% alcohol extract of propolis. It should be a white emulsion, which is taken three times a day for 30 minutes before a meal, and at night after dinner after 2 hours. The course of treatment is 20 days.

For the prevention and control of this disease, immune strengthening will not be superfluous, because with healthy immunity parasites are digested by macrophages - protective cells, thanks to which specific protective antibodies appear in the body that suppress the vital activity of parasites. This can be done in the same way as folk remedies.
