Microdapillomatosis is a collection of symmetrical skin lesions predominantly flesh colored, located on the small labia of a woman, namely on their inner surface and midline. More rarely, they can be diagnosed on the large labia.

Microparapillomatosis in women is usually uncommon and its incidence in a doctor's practice is approximately 4-5% of cases. Based on most studies, as well as a detailed study of a variety of clinical cases, it was found that these rashes are not inherently pathological and rather belong to anatomical changes of an individual character. In the case of establishing the development of this anatomical condition, the microvapillomatosis of the vulva is diagnosed most often. Specific pathogenetic treatment based on the use of various medical drugs, microvapillomatosis of the vagina, as well as other parts of the reproductive system of a woman, does not require.

What is micropapillomatosis

Micro-dipillomatosis is a small formation of pale pink or flesh-colored in form, resembling papules. As a rule, these elements are arranged linearly, in rows, symmetrically on both sides, for example, the micropapillomatosis of the labia. When their palpation is determined testovataya soft consistency and painlessness. They are located more often in the region of the labia minora, and also on the midline, which is united in the generic name of the microvapillomatosis of the vulva.

It is established that these anatomical changes predominantly develop during puberty. However, despite carrying out a large number of studies of this problem, it was not possible to establish any reason for the formation of these elements of the rash. Most scientists are inclined to the possible role in their development of changes in the hormonal system that inevitably occur in the organisms of young girls, because it is during puberty, according to established data, most often these nodules and begin to form. Also, the factors that may be able to influence their development include mechanical irritation of the external genitalia by wearing tight, tight underwear. However, to describe a condition such as vaginal micro-papillomatosis, this is difficult to attribute, and therefore another factor is put forward, such as the presence of various chronic inflammatory pathologies of the female's reproductive system.

Despite the similar name with such a serious disease as papillomavirus infection, in the process of a large number of conducted laboratory tests, as well as the study of a sufficient number of clinical cases, it was found that there is no connection between these two pathologies. Although until now some scientists are trying to find some connection between these states.

In the course of carrying out numerous histological studies of micro-pathoglobulosis in women, no signs were found that could indicate the relationship of these elements with papillomavirus infection. Namely, no such phenomenon as cocycylotosis, which is characteristic of the human papillomavirus or HPV, has been determined.

Microvapillomatosis of the labia, as well as any other anatomical area of the female reproductive system, is not harmful to her health, refers to the variants of a normal anatomical structure, with unprotected, as with protected sex, it is not transmitted. As a result of observations of the course of this condition, no possible development of any complications from these papules has been established. According to some reports, cases of self-regression and reduction of micro-capillomavirus rashes without any treatment methods have been identified. However, the use of all possible ways to remove formed elements does not belong to the prohibited and undesirable, since for some women these elements cause psychological discomfort to some extent, although in reality they do not bring any physical suffering and pain.

Symptoms and signs of microdapillomatosis

Micropapillomatosis is manifested, as a rule, most often during puberty, which indicates a possible cause of its formation in the form of hormonal changes in the young body. This process is characterized by the appearance of elements in the form of papules or nodules, small sizes of pink color, to the touch of soft. Most often, they are diagnosed in the vulva on the labia minora, somewhat less often on the large labia. When exhibiting the diagnosis, it is possible to specify the specific location of the elements of the rash, for example, the micropapillomatosis of the labia. It should be noted that the nodules are symmetrically located on both labia's lips, one can also trace some linearity in their arrangement, often marking their localization as if in rows.

When palpating the resulting elements, no reaction in the form of pain is detected, any discomfort in the form of itching, irritation or the possibility of an increase in size is not diagnosed. In the case of the presence of such symptoms as itching, burning, and the more pain, and despite the presence of a clinical picture of micro-dipillomatosis, it is necessary to consult the doctor without fail, since even in the presence of this anatomical state, infections of various types may occur.

It is very important to be able to distinguish between micro-papillomatosis in women and the development of genital warts, the cause of which is infection with a fairly common human papillomavirus. For genital warts is characterized by a sparse arrangement in the genital area of a woman, asymmetric. In color, they are very similar to the elements in micro-papillomatosis, the consistency is somewhat denser, unlike the anatomically occurring nodules, larger in size, often form distinctive groups or outgrowths. An important differential sign that a doctor can detect right away with a direct examination of the patient is carrying out a test with acetic acid, in which, in case of the presence of condyloma, their significant blanching develops. If the developed nodules - this is just a micro-dipillomatosis, then the test with acetic acid will always be negative. However, this method is only ancillary or additional, but in no case determining when diagnosing.

It is also always worth remembering that condylomas can also occur when infected with a venereal disease such as syphilis, which is also characterized by the formation of the above elements. In such a situation, an important stage will be the referral of the patient to the serological examination of the blood.

Based on the above, we can distinguish the following signs of micropathillomatosis, which most fully characterize this state:

- It develops most often in young girls during the period of hormonal background reorganization, that is, during puberty.

- In this condition, only the sexual organs of a woman are affected, as a rule, they diagnose vulval microvapillomatosis, and they less often reveal the development of nodules in the vaginal area.

- Eruptions of pink color, very small in size, are arranged symmetrically in relation to each other and more often they can be found on the inner side of the labia of a woman.

- In palpation, they are completely painless, slightly dense in consistency, not accompanied by burning or itching.

- Over time, they do not increase in size, they do not ulcerate, they do not cause any complications, that is, they are absolutely safe with regard to the health of women, that is, in some ways they represent only a cosmetic defect, which a woman sometimes only learns from a doctorGynecologist during the examination.

- There is no recorded fact of transmission of developed elements by sex, that is, they are not dangerous with unprotected sexual intercourse and are not capable of being transmitted to a partner.

Treatment of microdapillomatosis

According to the established data, no detected micropapillomatosis is required for treatment, this condition is usually attributed to peculiar anatomical features that develop as a result of possible hormonal changes or in the case of long-term chronic inflammatory diseases of the reproductive system.

However, quite often women in the process of establishing this process begin to experience some psychological discomfort. In this case, it is recommended to eliminate this peculiar cosmetic defect with the help of electrocoagulation, laser therapy or cryodestruction. During the application of cryodestruction, the formed nodules are destroyed by the action of liquid nitrogen, while electrocautery uses the process of cauterizing the nodules with electric current. Most of all, however, the removal of these elements by laser exposure is popular. This technique does not cause any pain effects, besides it contributes to the rapid restoration of damaged tissue. However, it is always worthwhile to warn the patient that, in the given state, carrying out the above-described techniques is not a necessity, and it is possible to use them only if he wishes.

Any medications taken orally do not have any effect on these nodules. Also, all kinds of topical preparations, such as vaginal suppositories or tablets, are not capable of affecting them.

Rarely, but cases of independent reduction of developed elements of a rash without application of medicines of any action and without use of the above-stated methods of their removal have been established.

However, before you start any treatment methods, you need to be very carefully examined and make sure that it is a question of micro-dipillomatosis, and not about such a serious process as the human papillomavirus, as well as about syphilis. Unlike the above mentioned pathologies, micro-dipillomatosis does not pose a threat to the health of a woman and in the case of an incorrectly diagnosed diagnosis, the prescribed treatment will be inadequate and unnecessary.

To conduct a complete differential diagnosis of important stages is the direct examination of a woman on a gynecological chair with taking for her microscopic examination of all necessary biological materials. When carrying out a cytological examination in the presence of genital warts caused by viral damage of the body, such a typical symptom as koylocytosis will be revealed. This phenomenon is a specific cell damage when infected with human papillomavirus. Only one cytological examination is not enough, as often pathological cells are able to be located in deeper-lying tissues. Also, when carrying out the test with acetic acid and obtaining a negative reaction, one can only assume that there is no viral pathology, since it can only be confirmed by using a special polymerase chain reaction technique and colposcopy. If necessary, to fully confirm the alleged diagnosis, a woman can be sent for a special histological examination.

In case of detection and supposition of the presence of a woman with microvapillomatosis, it is absolutely necessary to carry out such a study as PCR.This is a widely known and diagnostic method, based on which it is possible to make a final diagnosis and prescribe appropriate treatment.

Therefore, if a woman finds any rashes in her genital area, it is necessary to consult a doctor to find out their cause, to abstain for the period of diagnosis from any kind of sexual contacts.

There are no specific methods for preventing the development of microvapillomatosis, since in most cases the nature of their development is assumed on the basis of hormonal changes. However, it will not be out of place to carefully monitor your health, to treat the inflammatory processes of the genital organs in a timely manner, to observe personal intimate hygiene, and it is especially important to educate the girls. Also, as one of the possible factors for the development of microapapilomatosis, a mechanical, that is, possibly associated with the wearing of a tight, synthetic underwear, is isolated. This should also be remembered and try not to create provocative conditions for the development of such a non-dangerous, however, yet characterized by a cosmetic defect, anatomical condition.
