Treatment of pseudotumorous pancreatitis
pseudotumor pancreatitis - a disease of the pancreas, Which is characterized by an increase in its head, as a result of which neighboring internal organs are squeezed.
Symptoms and causes of the disease
The following causes are identified:
- of the gallbladder disease and its ducts;
- chronic alcohol use;
- chronic pancreatitis;
- tumor organ formation;
- untimely treatment or lack of it in case of chronic pancreatitis;
- parasitic and infectious organ diseases.
Pseudotumorous pancreatitis manifests itself as follows:
- severe shingles with irradiation in the lower back;
- an increase in the size of the body, usually disproportionate;
- a sharp decrease in body weight;
- external secretion of the organ does not work properly;
- increased pancreatic duct.
Diagnosis
Pseudotumorous pancreatitis can be determined by ultrasound. The results of the study show an increase in individual parts of the organ and swelling of the head.
In palpation, the contours of the affected organ are blurred. To confirm the diagnosis, a number of specific laboratory tests are performed. If necessary, conduct X-ray, computed tomography and endoscopic echolocation.
With the help of endoscopic examinations, the bile ducts and the main duct of the gland are inspected for narrowing or expansion. With the help of oncomarkers, the presence of neoplasms of a tumor character is revealed.
Treatment
In rare cases, pseudotumorous pancreatitis can be cured non-surgically. As a rule, the gastroenterologist is engaged in this. Treatment consists in the relief of pain and normalization of the functioning of the external and internal secretion of the organ.
Surgical treatment
Surgical treatment is of two types:
- Drainage installation in the pancreatic duct;
- Excision of affected tissues.
As a result of surgical intervention, the main symptoms of the disease are smoothed out:
- pain subsides;
- iron starts to function normally.
To reduce the risk of residual postoperative events, the patient should be observed regularly by a specialist.
Forecast
The prognosis after surgical treatment is very favorable. Perhaps the onset of a long period of remission. In the case of incomplete remission, there may be some complications from the side of the gland and gallbladder. They are detected with a timely examination by a specialist and ultrasound.
If pseudotumorous pancreatitis is not treated surgically, it is fraught with quite serious complications:
- pancreatic cyst;
- diseases of central and peripheral veins( thrombosis);
- bleeding;
- pleurisy;
- ascites;
- jaundice, etc.
Prevention
Preventive measures are aimed at chemical and mechanical shaking of the pancreas and normalization of lifestyle. First of all it is:
- Correct diet( guide diet No. 5)
- If necessary, substitution fermentotherapy
- Alcohol and tobacco failure
- Mineral water treatment
- Moderate physical activity
- Timely treatment of pancreatic diseases and viral infections
Adherence to all principles of prevention will help avoid pseudotumorous pancreatitis and normalize the gland.
