  • Prosopagnosia is the recognition of a familiar face with preserved subject recognition. Patients characterize the face, but can not determine to whom it belongs.(Sometimes they do not recognize themselves in the mirror.)
  • Agnosia for colors is the inability to recognize colors or shades and determine whether a color matches a particular object.
  • The weakness of optical representations is the disorder of creating an image of an object and highlighting its characteristics.
  • Simultaneous agnosia - narrowing the field of view of one object( patients see only one subject and do not perceive others).
  • Agnosia( a consequence of optic-motor disorders) is the inability to direct the view to the desired side with the preserved motor function of the eyeballs.
  • Auditory agnosia is a form of agnosia, in which there is no recognition of a familiar sound while hearing is safe. Subtypes of agnosia: simple auditory( unrecognizable simple sounds), acoustical( speech is not recognized) and tonal( the tone is not recognized).
