Causes and symptoms

The terms erosion and ulcer are often used interchangeably. They have similar characteristics, they can transform one into another. They differ in that the first affects the upper part of the mucous membrane, and the second and the submucous layer. The ulcer is prone to recurrence; after healing, scars remain. Sometimes the diagnosis sounds like an erosive and ulcerative disease of the stomach.

Appearance of a healthy and diseased stomach

Erosions can be hemorrhagic, flat superficial and inflammatory in the form of polyps. The factors provoking the disease are:

  • improper nutrition;
  • medicines, especially NSAIDs;
  • liver and kidney diseases;
  • bad habits - alcohol, smoking;
  • stress.

Erosive gastritis can be acute and chronic. The most common symptoms are:

  1. The pain is concentrated in the upper abdomen, intensifies on an "empty" stomach, during physical exertion, the use of spicy food.
  2. Feeling of heaviness after eating.
  3. Burning behind the breastbone, sour or bitter belching.
  4. In acute pathology, nausea and vomiting.
  5. Flatulence, stool disturbance.

In the acute form, erosion forms at the bottom of the stomach wall, the symptoms are pronounced. The chronic process is localized at the entrance to the duodenum. Depending on the area of the lesion, the individual characteristics of the organism, acute erosive gastritis is treated for 2 weeks. Therapy for a chronic disease can last up to six months.

Diet features

In the course of treatment, gentle nutrition plays a major role in erosion. It is aimed at strengthening the general condition of the patient, regenerating cells and tissues damaged by erosion, relieving inflammation of the digestive system, preventing relapse. Drug treatment is prescribed when, against the background of fulfilling all the doctor's prescriptions, the symptoms of the disease persist. Or the cause of gastritis is Helicobacter Pylori.

Diet with erosion of the stomach

In the acute period, with a relapse of the chronic form, complete hunger is recommended for 24 hours. Further, a strict diet is needed for several days. The patient can have well-boiled and mashed porridge, soft-boiled egg, homemade fruit jelly. All food should be warm, not hot or cold.

Products that irritate the mucous membrane and provoke an increase in acidity are excluded. The diet should be balanced: proteins 110-120 g, fats 110-120 g, carbohydrates 400-500 g. Food should contain sufficient amounts of minerals and vitamins.

The menu is gradually expanded by adding the following products:

  • white croutons;
  • cereal soups with vegetable broth;
  • dietary meats;
  • steamed omelet;
  • fat-free, not sour cottage cheese;
  • not strong milk tea.

Meat and fish are cooked in the form of a steamed soufflé and cutlets. Such a diet should be present throughout the month. In order for the disease to enter a stable remission, the diet is followed for 3 months.

Menu for the week

An approximate diet of permitted foods for erosive gastritis after the acute period subsides is presented in the table:

An approximate diet of permitted foods for erosive gastritis

Basic nutritional rules

All products that can mechanically damage the walls of the stomach are excluded from the menu. Food is cooked without fat in a double boiler or baked in the oven. It is necessary to limit the use of salt, since it retains water in the body. Drinking regime - 1.5 liters of liquid. Depending on physical activity, the daily diet should not exceed 3000 calories.

Food intake - at least 4 times a day, in small portions. You can not eat dry food, food must be chewed thoroughly. It should be remembered that the feeling of fullness comes half an hour after eating. You should eat at the same time. When there is no opportunity to dine, as an exception, they arrange a snack. A long break between meals and the development of a feeling of hunger is unacceptable. 2 hours before bedtime, drink a glass of milk.

Fresh bread is not recommended, preferably yesterday's or slightly dried. Croutons must be soaked before use. Honey is very useful, it restores mucous membranes. At the same time, it stimulates the production of gastric juice. Therefore, it can be consumed in small quantities along with other foods such as milk.

With gastritis with high acidity, the diet may contain:

  • stale white bread;
  • skimmed milk;
  • chicken white meat, beef liver and tongue;
  • lean fish - pollock, pike perch, pike;
  • eggs;
  • vegetable puree soups;
  • rice, oatmeal, semolina porridge;
  • jelly from sweet berries.

  • homemade black bread;
  • soups with meat broth;
  • not fatty meat and fish;
  • cereal side dishes and stewed vegetables;
  • dairy products;
  • vegetable and fruit salads;
  • homemade jam and jam.

You can brew black tea, as well as herbal extracts from St. John's wort, lemon balm, chamomile.

The following are excluded from the diet:

  • fatty, fried, spicy dishes;
  • sausage, bacon, smoked meats, canned food;
  • dairy products;
  • hard spicy cheeses;
  • marinades, sauces, mayonnaise;
  • garlic and onions, radishes, mushrooms;
  • fresh bread and baked goods.

Butter will have to be replaced with vegetable oil. First courses are prepared without frying. You cannot eat cakes, pastries, chocolate, ice cream. Carbonated drinks, especially sweet ones, are not recommended.

Some dietary recipes:

  1. Apple pudding. Soak 25 g of gelatin in 100 g of apple juice for 30 minutes. Beat 5 egg yolks and 100 g sugar. Heat 300 ml of milk, add whipped yolks and gelatin. Let the mixture stand in a water bath for 15 minutes, pour into molds, refrigerate for 5-6 hours.
  2. Chicken meatballs. Fry a spoonful of flour in vegetable oil until pink, gradually pour in a glass of milk, stirring continuously. Form meatballs from minced chicken and simmer in sauce. Use chopped fresh herbs instead of seasonings.
  3. Lazy dumplings. Rub 400 g low-fat cottage cheese through a sieve, add an egg, 1 tbsp each. l. sugar and flour. To stir thoroughly. Put the dough on a floured table, form 2 sausages. Cut them into pieces, throw in boiling water, cook until they float.
  4. Vegetable puree soup with chicken. Put 300 g of chicken breast into the water, boil a little. Throw in the coarsely chopped vegetables - one carrot, 2 potatoes and a small vegetable marrow. Cook until tender. Grind meat and vegetables with a blender, add broth to the desired density. Put the soup on the stove, heat up and add 100 ml of cream. Bring to a boil again. Sprinkle with fresh herbs.

You need to adhere to the diet until a stable remission occurs. On the other hand, it makes no sense to complicate life with too strict regulations - mashed, jelly-like food is taken only in the first days of the acute period.

You should not eat a large portion of food, overload the stomach at night. Each person is individual and should know which products he can afford and which ones will have to be completely abandoned. This will enable the stomach to recover faster and the patient to feel healthy.
