Therapeutic exercise in heart diseases
In the prevention and treatment of the cardiovascular system, an important place is given to physical exercises. Physiotherapy exercises in diseases of the cardiovascular system can strengthen the heart muscle, increase its contractility, increase blood circulation, in particular, peripheral. Thanks to good blood flow, the walls of the vessels become more elastic, because good blood flow mechanically massages the walls of blood vessels. The level in the blood decreases, thereby reducing the likelihood of blood clots in the blood vessels. Thus, the development of atherosclerotic changes, which are the main cause of heart disease, is prevented.
How intensively the training will take depends on the condition of the individual patient, so training should be started only after consultation of the attending physician! Consult with the doctor especially should also the elderly and weakened persons, as well as those who underwent myocardial infarction.
When performing a complex of therapeutic exercises, you should adhere to certain rules:
- Even if you feel good, you can not quickly and dramatically increase physical activity.
- Any exercise should start after eating in a half to two hours, not before.
- If during dizziness, palpitations, dyspnea, there are unpleasant sensations in the heart area, then the exercise should be stopped immediately. If necessary( if the pain did not go away after some time), you should take nitroglycerin or validol and consult a doctor!
- While doing the exercises, monitor the pulse condition, this is very important. If at the end of the treatment training the pulse is increased by 20-35 strokes, but does not exceed 120 beats / min, then the exercises have a positive effect on the body. The pulse should return to the original frequency after 5 minutes rest.
