If the drug is used on the face or with a combination of occlusive dressings, the course is recommended to be shortened as much as possible.

In children, glucocorticosteroids cause adverse reactions more quickly, and most often they include suppression of the adrenal glands. This factor affects the secretion of growth hormone. Therefore, in the case of long-term treatment with Lokoid, it is recommended to monitor the child's body weight and growth.

Instruction for pregnant women

During pregnancy, the drug is used under the strict supervision of a physician on small areas of the skin. Hydrocortisone crosses the placental barrier to the fetus, so the appointment of Locoid is practiced in extreme cases.

Advantan or Locoid which is better?

The effectiveness of these drugs is about the same, they are created on a hormonal basis and are intended as a quick or emergency aid in relation to inflammatory processes on the skin. The concentration of the active ingredient - the hormone in both products is the same - 0.1%, that is, they can be considered interchangeable and choose any for treatment, depending on the preferences of the specialist or himself the patient.Advantan or Locoid which is better?

The only difference is that Advantan is allowed for children from four months, and Lokoid - from six. But pediatricians are usually inclined to prescribe Locoid, since it causes drug dependence to a lesser extent.

The drug has an affordable price category - about 350 rubles per package of 30 ml in Russia and 96 hryvnia in Ukraine. All forms of drug release have almost the same cost.

Reviews

The drug is endowed with both positive and negative responses. Let's consider them in more detail.

Anna, 38 years old. “I have suffered from allergic dermatitis for a long time. Hands were very itchy and blistered. Many drugs and folk remedies were found to be ineffective. Relief came only for a short period of time. Recently, the doctor prescribed Locoid cream. The improvement is noticeable from the first days - itching disappears, the skin is cleansed. In just 2 weeks, the dermatitis has completely "gone". Recommend".

Svetlana, 29 years old. “Locoid was prescribed by a doctor for the treatment of psoriasis. The drug costs 320 rubles for 30 ml of ointment. Its action was noted immediately - the foci of peeling decreased, redness and pigmentation gradually disappeared, itching completely disappeared. There were no side effects, despite the hormones in the composition. I am happy with the drug. "

Alena, 35 years old. “For the first time I encountered an allergy on the skin, the itching was unbearable. The pharmacist advised Lokoid as an emergency drug. Unfortunately, the remedy did not help me - the disease went away almost on its own in a week. I didn’t see any effect from the drug ”.

Despite the fact that most people speak positively about Lokoid, it is highly undesirable to use it without a doctor's recommendation. With the wrong therapy, complications can be much sadder than the disease itself.
