Symptoms of exacerbation during menstruation

In principle, no distinctive features are observed in a woman during such a period. It all depends on the stage of development of the pathological process.

Symptoms:

  • Pain in the anus, especially when emptying.
  • Itching.
  • Bloody discharge from the anus.
  • Pain in the lower abdomen.
  • Mucous discharge.
  • Feeling of a foreign body in the rectum.

How hemorrhoids are associated with periods

Physiological factors are to blame for the interrelationships of these problems. Hemorrhoids during menstruation tend to increase in size.

This happens for a simple reason. Indeed, during menstruation, blood circulates at an increased rate in the pelvic organs, naturally filling hemorrhoids.

In this regard, a sharp exacerbation occurs. The acute period is characterized by the presence of enlarged nodes, possibly even their loss.

In addition to this, swelling, pain begins. This condition often causes bleeding.

An exacerbation of hemorrhoids can begin even before menstruation. Indeed, some time before them, the body is already beginning to prepare.

Accordingly, intensive blood circulation begins in large volumes in the pelvic organs.

Already before menstruation, a woman can feel:

  1. Discomfort in the anorectal region.
  2. Itching.
  3. Pain syndrome.
  4. Bursting.

It is also necessary to prepare for the fact that in most women, due to a surge in hormones, appetite increases.

At this moment, who is good for what. Any food products go indiscriminately. But this is absolutely impossible to do in the presence of hemorrhoidal disease.

Improper nutrition is a problem that first of all needs to be solved with hemorrhoids.

Sweet, salty and spicy foods have a negative effect on the intestinal mucosa, irritating it with their composition. Further, as a consequence, the situation may be aggravated by constipation. Such a condition cannot but exacerbate the disease and bring it out of remission.

Treatment of hemorrhoids with menstruation

All appointments must be carried out by the attending physician, otherwise the patient risks complicating his situation with additional problems.

Often, the treatment is the same as for any other period. If the patient has already been at the appointment and has an appointment, then you can simply repeat the course until remission occurs. This is especially true for chronic hemorrhoids.

There is one condition that cannot be ignored during menstruation. You can not use medications for treatment, which include corticosteroid hormonal components.

Their exposure leads to increased bleeding. It is not recommended during this period to use medications that have an antispasmodic effect.

Their use is fraught with profuse bleeding. This happens for one simple reason - the already weakened and stretched vessels are subject to relaxation. During the period of intense blood circulation, this is absolutely not allowed to do.

It is imperative that during the period of exacerbation with menstruation, it is necessary to combine the reception of phlebotonics with suppositories or gels. Phlebotonics group drugs: Venarus, Detralex, Troxevasin, Phlebodia 600.

It is better to use as candles: Betiol, Anuzol, Natalsid. These medicines contain natural ingredients. They effectively affect the disease, eliminate symptoms.

If you are worried about severe pain, then use non-steroidal drugs as an anesthetic: Nurofen, Nimesulide, Efferalgan.

Hemorrhoids before and during menstruation are common and quite obvious for many physiological reasons.

The exacerbated period does not require special treatment, it is enough to use some recommendations.
