One of the most popular drugs used to treat hemorrhoids during pregnancy and lactation. Relief candles contain several active ingredients:

• shark liver oil;
• cacao butter;
• phenylephrine hydrochloride.

Together, these components have an anti-inflammatory, wound healing and hemostatic effect. It is allowed to use up to 4 suppositories per day.

Another type is Relief Advance. It contains benzocaine, which has a pronounced analgesic effect, and therefore is used in acute forms of hemorrhoids, which are accompanied by severe pain.

Note! There is one more kind of candles - "Relief Ultra". The drug contains hydrocortisone acetate, which is a steroid, and therefore is not used for lactation.

Sea buckthorn candles

Suppositories based on sea buckthorn oil are excellent for treating the initial stages of hemorrhoids. The oil contains vitamins A and E, fatty acids and antioxidants. These components activate recovery processes and reduce inflammation. These candles are recommended for use at night. The only contraindication to their use is an allergy to sea buckthorn.

"Procto-Glivenol"

Rectal suppositories, the action of which is aimed not only at healing, but also at pain relief. The main active ingredients are tribenoside and lidocaine. This drug is used with caution during breastfeeding, as lidocaine can often cause an allergic reaction. Candles are used up to 2 times a day - in the morning and in the evening.

"Natalsid"

These suppositories contain sodium alginate, a component of seaweed. They help stop bleeding, help relieve inflammation and eliminate the discomfort caused by hemorrhoids. The course of treatment can last up to 14 days, candles are used twice a day - in the morning and in the evening.

"Hepatrombin G"

These suppositories contain heparin, a component that prevents blood clots. "Hepatrombin G" helps to get rid of the swelling and pain provoked by the appearance of hemorrhoids, helps accelerate the healing of cracks and stimulates faster resorption of nodes and bumps. It is prescribed for the treatment of internal hemorrhoids. The duration of the course of treatment is up to 10 days. They are used twice a day.

"Posterisan"

The basis of this drug is inactivated Escherichia coli. Such microorganisms are not able to multiply, and therefore cannot provoke a violation of the microflora. The principle of action of the drug is based on the activation of the immune system, due to which blood flow increases at the injection site, which leads to an acceleration of biological processes. The course of treatment is 5 to 7 days, 1 suppository per day.

"Olestezin"

Suppositories based on sea buckthorn oil, which also contain the analgesic component benzocaine and sulfaetidol. The latter promotes a rapid decrease in inflammation and inhibits the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms. The duration of the course of treatment is 7-10 days.

"Nigepan"

Suppositories based on heparin and benzocaine. The combination of these two components gives a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, prevents the formation of blood clots and helps to accelerate the regeneration of damaged tissues. The duration of the course of treatment is from 10 to 14 days. Suppositories are used 1-2 times a day.

"Neo-Anusol"

A preparation based on zinc oxide, bismuth nitrate, iodine and resorcinol. Helps to quickly stop inflammation, reduces the severity of painful sensations. Has a pronounced antimicrobial effect and helps to speed up the healing process.

Note! There is an analogue of "Anusol" - this drug contains belladonna extract, and therefore its use is strictly prohibited during pregnancy and lactation.

Candles with propolis

Propolis-based suppositories are classified as homeopathic. They contain not only propolis, but also cocoa butter as an auxiliary component. Propolis has a pronounced antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect, helps to accelerate regeneration and helps to strengthen the immune system.
