Can there be a temperature with dysbiosis: it happens in adults and children

Dysbacteriosis is a fairly common problem that causes a breakdown in the normal process of digestion and absorption of nutrients.

Part of the food that cannot be digested in the intestines gradually irritates the mucous membrane, so the temperature may rise.

In addition to this, inflammation develops, which also causes a rise in temperature.

Dysbiosis reasons

Dysbacteriosis is a disease in which the balance of the intestinal microflora is disturbed.

As a result of a large number of pathogenic bacteria, malfunctions of the gastrointestinal tract appear. Dysbacteriosis and its consequences can appear as a result of the following reasons:

  1. Surgical treatment in the gastrointestinal tract.
  2. Use of antibiotics and other powerful drugs.
  3. Intestinal infection.
  4. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
  5. Unbalanced diet.
  6. Weak immune system.

The disease itself has several stages of development, which are characterized by peculiar symptoms.

Could there be a rise in temperature with dysbiosis? The answer is obvious and positive, since in this state inflammation and disruption of the digestive system appears, but it is important to know at what stage such a symptom will appear.

Stages of the disease

In medicine, it is customary to divide all diseases into stages, which are characterized by different severity of the course and different symptoms.

Dysbacteriosis has 3 main stages, and the temperature may not always appear.

Stage 1

At the very beginning of the development of the disease, there are no characteristic signs or they are very weak. Among the main symptoms in patients are:

  1. Decreased appetite.
  2. Increased gas formation.
  3. Weight loss.
  4. Stool retention.
  5. Violation of the color of feces, possibly the remains of undigested food.

During the diagnosis, it is established that the number of pathogenic bacteria exceeds the standard rate.

Stage 2

The symptoms of the next stage become pronounced, but hardly change. Gastrointestinal problems begin to bother more, which disrupts a person's sleep.

Among the main symptoms are:

  1. Stool disorder, may be diarrhea or constipation.
  2. Flatulence.
  3. Dyspepsia.

This condition is characterized by a deterioration in the production of vitamin B, there may be anemia and other negative factors.

There is very little useful flora, pathogenic bacteria predominate.

Stage 3

The symptoms of each person at the last stage of dysbiosis will be different, it all depends on the bacteria that cause the disorder.

As a rule, the secretion of sweat increases, the temperature rises with dysbiosis in adults or children, and the indicators can be insignificant or very high.

There is pain in the abdomen, diarrhea can be up to 10 times a day with blood or mucus. The beneficial bacteria disappear completely.

Temperature with dysbiosis

The temperature for dysbiosis in adults or children may not always be. Certain bacteria are the reason for the growth of indicators, but, as a rule, the value will not be more than 39.5 degrees.

If the temperature rises with dysbiosis in children, then this condition is not dangerous, according to doctors, if the child is more than 3 months old.

The rise in temperature appears due to the inflammatory process, as well as as a response of the immune system to bacteria.

Thus, the body tries to cope with the problem on its own. It is not always necessary to immediately take medications, the main actions for dysbiosis and temperature are as follows:

  1. If there is a value on the thermometer of about 37 degrees, then the body copes with the pathology on its own and there is no need to use pills to reduce the indicators. It is recommended to adjust the diet, as well as to use medications to restore the intestinal flora.
  2. If the indicator is slightly more than 37 degrees, vomiting appears, then you must immediately get rid of dyspeptic symptoms. For this, sorbents are used, after several hours a control temperature measurement is carried out.
  3. 38 degrees indicates that measures should be taken to reduce performance. This condition indicates the impossibility of the immune system to cope with the pathology on its own, therefore enzymes, antipyretic drugs and other means are used.
  4. If the value is 39 degrees or more, then you need to call an ambulance. Doctors will use an injection for a quick antipyretic effect.

When a temperature appears with dysbiosis in adults, it is important to know its consequences for the body.

In any case, patients should be under the supervision of a doctor, and if abnormalities appear, violations should be reported immediately.

Potential danger

In a healthy person, there are many bacteria in the intestines, among which not only useful, but also conditionally pathogenic bacteria are distinguished.

Useful microorganisms should be 95%, the rest only 5%, and they do not pose a danger to people.

Under certain conditions, pathogenic bacteria begin to multiply, an imbalance appears, which causes dysbiosis.

Doctors do not attribute this condition to an independent disease, since the problem is short-term, leads to disruptions in the digestive process and is easy to treat and restore flora.

The temperature in this state may increase not due to dysbiosis, but as a result of a psychological state:

  1. Fatigue.
  2. Constant lack of sleep.
  3. Stressful situations.
  4. Depressive state.
  5. Emotional instability.

As a rule, the values are always in the range of 37-38 degrees. Among the main danger of dysbiosis and temperature are:

  1. Chronic intestinal inflammation that occurs without treatment.
  2. Lack of nutrients in the body, due to which there may be anemia, hypovitaminosis and other disorders.
  3. Sepsis, which will occur when pathogenic bacteria enter the bloodstream.
  4. Peritonitis appears as a result of severe irritation of the mucous membrane.
  5. Due to a weak immune system, other diseases appear.
  6. Weight loss.

The described complications can be in adults or children, therefore, when the first symptoms appear, dysbiosis should be treated immediately, and also not to ignore the rise in temperature.

Treatment

Medicines to lower the temperature can be prescribed only in some cases:

  1. Muscular cramps appear, which resemble seizures of epilepsy, and the value on the thermometer itself reaches 38 units and above.
  2. It is necessary to take pills at a temperature of 38.5 degrees with the presence of heart and lung diseases.
  3. It is imperative to give medicines to children under 3 months old if the temperature reaches 38 degrees.

It is not necessary to always use antipyretic drugs, they are required only in individual cases.

In addition, there are situations when emergency care is indispensable, especially when it comes to children:

  1. The temperature with dysbiosis rises to 40 degrees or more.
  2. The skin turns pale.
  3. Despite the growth of indicators of the thermometer, the limbs are cold.
  4. Blood circulation is knocked down.

With dysbiosis, not all medicines can help, due to the impossibility of their assimilation.

It is not recommended to use Aspirin to bring down the temperature, and Analgin, Amidopyrine and their analogs are also not used. Cefekon or Salicylamide will not work for children.

It is recommended to use:

  1. Ibuprofen.
  2. Paracetamol.

Injections can be used to rapidly degrade performance. If the disease and characteristic symptoms appear in children, then you will need to use strong antibacterial agents.

Often doctors advise using Livarin or Nystatin. Medication will also be required to stabilize the digestive system.

Tablets Legalon or Immodium, Essentiale improve absorption. To normalize the balance of bacteria, Lactobacterin or Bifidumbacterin are used.

If a newborn has dysbiosis, then it will be necessary to add substances from the probiotic group to the diet.

They are found in baby kefir and fermented milk products. It is also recommended to give vitamin complexes to restore the immune system.

A child from 2 years old can add foods with a lot of fiber to the menu for every day. As a rule, these are cereals and plant foods. It is not recommended to give potatoes or vegetables with a lot of starch.

Cooking is equally important in the treatment of dysbiosis. Doctors advise all foods and dishes to be boiled, stewed or steamed.

Children under 4 years old should not eat raw vegetable products, they must be pre-cooked, you can bake them.

Of the fruits, give preference to currants, apricots, and only baked apples are allowed. Such nutrition quickly normalizes the stomach, and will not irritate the mucous membrane.

Treatment of dysbiosis with fever should be treated only with complex methods. It is necessary to use the correct diet, daily routine, as well as medications, which is recommended by the doctor.

In some cases, the use of folk remedies is allowed.
