  • Iberis;
  • Melissa;
  • peppermint;
  • chamomile;
  • licorice;
  • milk thistle;
  • caraway;

How to use

Iberogast is taken orally - 20 drops, three times a day. Pre-shake the bottle with drops. To make the liquid better absorbed, it is recommended to drink it with a glass of hot boiled water. Drink, not dilute, when the concentration changes, the drops lose their properties.

  • is able to create a protective shell around the stomach, reduces the sensitivity of the organ.

The spectrum of action is diverse, it is not surprising that the tool is popular. The popularity of the drug in patients continues to cause controversy among doctors about taking Iberogast for pancreatitis.

What diseases does Iberogast help?

If the patient, in addition to pancreatitis, develops side pathology, Iberogast will be useful. The medicine is indicated for patients suffering from diseases:

  • dysfunction of the intestines and gastrointestinal tract;
  • disorders of the digestive system, expressed in diarrhea, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting;
  • incorrect arrangement of parts of hollow organs;
  • feeling of heaviness, pain, cramps in the stomach.

Contraindications

Iberogast is prohibited for people with severe individual intolerance to the components of the drug listed above. The main base of the drops is herbal extracts. Naturally, if a person with an allergy to lemon balm, for example, responds unsatisfactorily to taking Iberogast.

In addition to allergies, contraindications are noted:

  • the presence of stones in the gallbladder (calculous cholecystitis, inflammation of the gallbladder);
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • age up to 18 years. The child's body is not yet ready to accept such a drug.

The warning also applies to pregnancy. The components of the drops will reach the fetus at any stage of development. This is unacceptable, the positive impact on the adult body does not outweigh the negative for a small child. Selected drugs against pancreatitis during pregnancy it is allowed to take for a short period of time - more often three days, then the drug is withdrawn from the treatment course. Iberogast does not apply to the drugs mentioned.

If pancreatitis develops in a young mother during the days of breastfeeding, it is advisable to temporarily stop feeding until the attack of pancreatitis has passed. During treatment, breast milk is replaced with infant formula containing similar nutrients. After the course of treatment, it is advisable to wait until the drug is completely excreted from the body, and then resume feeding. The withdrawal period takes 3 - 5 days.

Iberogast should be taken with caution in persons:

  • with alcohol addiction;
  • with diseases of the brain (including head injuries);
  • with pathologies in the liver.

Side effects

If the patient ignored the list of contraindications (did not foresee a possible effect, did not suspect such a possibility), symptoms develop:

  • there is a feeling of nausea, or the patient vomits.
