There are two types of markers that can be detected in the patient's blood:

It should be noted that none of these markers are completely specific, in addition, the increase in the level of markers does not always signal that an oncological process has begun in the patient's body.

Even in healthy patients, one can sometimes see a slight excess of the norm of the oncomarker. Therefore, there is an acceptable norm of indicators of markers.

A noticeable increase in the number of markers in the patient's blood is usually observed already when the malignant tumor began to actively develop in the body.
