The causes of prostatecticulitis and methods of its treatment

click fraud protection

Prostateziculitis is an inflammatory lesion of the prostate and seminal vesicles. Pathology develops as a response of the body to the penetration into the tissues and blood of pathogenic bacteria. The disease is noted in men of primary young and middle age. Given the features and nature of the development of inflammation, distinguish between its acute and chronic form.

It is important to contact the urologist to stop the pathological process at the initial stage, not allowing the transition into a protracted form.

Why does the disease occur?

The prostate gland is involved in the secretion, as well as the male sex hormones, necessary for the full functioning of the body. Seminal vesicles terminate the seminiferous ducts.

The development of the pathogenic process in this part is preceded by infection, more often by the gonococcal pathogen. It can occur in two ways - with blood flow or through penetration through the urethra. As the seminal vesicles enter the urethra anatomically, their inflammation can provoke a similar process in the urethra. The circumstances that contribute to the development of prostatevisculitis are:

  • Prostaetesiculitis and sexual infections

    Prostaetesiculitis usually occurs against the background of infection of the genital organs.

    chronic diseases of the urogenital sphere;

  • inadequate blood circulation within the prostate and perineum;
  • irregular sexual activity or vice versa increased sexual activity;
  • slowing metabolism;
  • suffered crotch injuries;
  • systemic hypothermia of the body;
  • sedentary lifestyle, long stay in one position;
  • excessive body weight;
  • no physical activity;
  • power errors: the abuse of products with artificial processing, aimed at creating an attractive appearance( dyes, thickeners, preservatives).

Inflammation of the prostate gland can act as a complication of orchitis or epididymitis. No less often the development of prostatevisculitis leads to permanent constipation in men. Stagnation of blood and lymph in the small pelvis - a beneficial environment for the development of infection, which can get from the outside. Disease-causing microorganisms that cause inflammation of the prostate and spermatic cord, are of bacterial origin( viral and fungal flora less likely to contribute to the development of this disease).

Symptoms of

Inflammation that affects the genito-urinary organs is manifested by characteristic features: due to high intensity, it is impossible to ignore them. The acute stage of prostatevisculitis is characterized by more severe symptoms, in comparison with the chronic form of the disease. Since the second name of the disease is "spermatocystitis", the obvious signs of a violation of the urogenital sphere are:

  • Symptoms of prostatevitis

    Pains in the perineum and difficulty urinating may indicate prostatevisculitis.

    Pain syndrome. Unpleasant sensation is localized in the perineum, extends to the pubic region and the lumbosacral section. It affects the rectum, which deprives the patient of the opportunity to fully implement the act of defecation.

  • Difficulty with urination. Discomfort is noted in the bladder area. Each urination does not bring a feeling of emptying: it ends with a burning pain with cuts. The volume of excreted urine also decreases - it itself is turbid due to the high content of leukocytes.
  • Erectile dysfunction, no sex drive. Sperm contains veins of blood, the erection is painful.
  • General intoxication: fever, chills, aching inside the joints, muscles.

Lack of adequate treatment causes the transition of the disease in a protracted form: its main signs are constant pulling pains in the sacrum and waist, the lack of the ability to empty the intestines, bladder;oppression of sexual activity due to chronic pain, problems with erection.

Complications of

Symptoms such as discomfort, urinary retention, decreased potency, should serve as an excuse to call a urologist or andrologist. Only a timely examination and prescribed treatment will help to exclude the possibility of complications.

Suppuration of vesicles. The most common of the complications is suppuration of vesicles, which, in combination with constantly elevated body temperature, serves as an indication for surgical intervention.

Epididymitis. Chronic inflammatory seminal vesicles can involve the epididymis in the pathological process. This is how the bilateral epididymitis of the protracted course develops. An aggravated circumstance of such inflammation is infertility( its probability is quite high).

Violation of the sexual function. No less serious problem, which threatens to result in prostatevesiculitis in the absence of treatment - problems with potency, which entails not only a negative change in the quality of sexual life, but also reduces a man's self-esteem.

Diagnostics

Ultrasound of the prostate

For diagnosis you need ultrasound of the prostate and nearby organs.

Initially, the doctor performs a rectal examination of the prostate. Determine its inflammation is possible at this stage, but to establish additional parameters( excluding the presence of cysts, neoplasms), as well as determining the level of blood supply to the prostate, perform ultrasound of the pelvic organs, including the prostate.

From laboratory methods of the study, a blood and urine test is prescribed, where the elevated white blood cell count is determined. This indicates a progressive inflammation that needs to be stopped.

Treatment of

The main treatment. If the inflammation is due to infection with gonococcus the doctor prescribes antibiotic therapy, anti-inflammatory drugs, immunomodulators - the means necessary to strengthen the protective properties of the body.

Elimination of urogenital disease is a top priority for the treatment of prostatevisculitis.

Antibiotics of a wide spectrum of action will help to overcome the inflammatory process. They are prescribed in the form of injections( injections are done twice a day intramuscularly or intravenously).However, in the action of antibiotics there is a negative side: the preparations of this series reduce the amount of natural intestinal microflora. A long course of injection can cause diarrhea - an intestinal disorder. In order to prevent the development of this condition, the specialist prescribes drugs that restore the microflora of the digestive tract - Lineks, Nistatin, etc.

This is the main treatment - the rest of the therapeutic program has a symptomatic meaning.

Symptomatic treatment. If the patient has a fever, prescribe antipyretic agents. When the pain syndrome interferes with the onset of sleep and does not allow performing even basic actions - the doctor prescribes analgesics, and if necessary, hypnotics.

The other side of the treatment is physiotherapy - the urologist will prescribe electrophoresis, UHF or magnetic field exposure to the perineal region. All this will contribute to a faster onset of recovery.

Other recommendations. Throughout the treatment, as well as after it, it is important for the patient to empty the intestine in a timely manner - the feces should not accumulate in the lower part of the bowel, creating a load on the pelvic organs and causing inflammation. Constipation is the absence of defecation for 3 days. If a man is predisposed to this phenomenon, the doctor will prescribe laxatives and recommend changing the quality of food in favor of liquid, warm food.

It is equally important to avoid hypothermia, to dress in accordance with weather conditions, to give up excessive sexual activity, to normalize its quality, to reduce and stabilize its weight.

In order not to aggravate the course of the disease, it is necessary to visit the urologist at the first signs of a urogenital infection( this is pain, fever, problems with potency).The option of independent treatment, including traditional medicine, is excluded.
