Constipation soap: how to use for adults and children

Even in Soviet times, they began to use soap for constipation. The therapy was applied to adults, children and a newborn child, since at that time the choice of medication was small. It is considered a versatile and safe method. However, doctors are of a different opinion. If you violate the rules of use, then a chemical burn is possible. Therefore, it is so important to know the composition and features of the use of each type of soap product.

Before the appearance of laxatives on the pharmacy market, the only effective way to safely remove feces outside was soap. Used mainly for household purposes. A small piece was taken and injected into the ass. The effect occurred within a few minutes. Modern medicine questions the safety of the method used.

Soap, being in the rectum, is in direct contact with the mucous membrane of the organ. Providing an irritating effect, it provokes peristalsis of the lower intestines. Subsequently, it comes out together with feces, enveloping and making them slippery.

The composition of the soap product is of no small importance. To restore the normal process of defecation, they try to choose soap on a natural basis, without dyes and artificial fillers.

Natural soap

The use of cream-based and tar-based baby products is prohibited. The use of this soap will lead to side effects: the intestinal mucosa will become dehydrated, and anal fissures may appear on the inner walls.

Application methods

Adults deciding on use constipation remedies, a mandatory consultation with a doctor is required. As a rule, the use of a natural product is allowed in the absence of contraindications, diseases that provoke constipation, and the process is not neglected.

The folk method used to introduce soap into the body as an intestinal cleansing:

  • The bar of soap must be inserted into the rectum through the anus.
  • The prepared soap solution is injected inside with an enema.

In the first case, the product is a rectal suppository. This is easily done by cutting the soap into small pieces and softening it to shape. The size of the resulting candle is not needed large, 1 centimeter in diameter and 2 cm in length is enough. The product should not have sharp edges, corners; when inserting, try not to damage the delicate walls and mucous membranes of the organ.

A soap candle is gently inserted into the rectum. You can moisten the anus with warm water, if desired. The waiting time will be from 25 minutes to half an hour. Try to insert a small piece as deep as possible into the intestine (on an outstretched finger).

The second method helps with constipation without having a negative effect compared to suppositories. This is attributed to the reaction between alkali and water. When combined, the first dissolves and does not adversely affect the walls of the lower intestines. Laundry soap enema is recommended as it contains much fewer additives. For children, an enema solution is prepared from baby soap.

Soap solution

Enema solution consists of chamomile broth and a small amount of soap shavings. Introduce the liquid into the intestine in a warm form. The remedy works in 10 minutes - you can go to the toilet.

Use for children

Violation of defecation in children is often observed, especially infants suffer. The causes of constipation in babies are different:

  1. If the baby is bottle-fed. An improperly selected milk mixture leads to a disorder of the digestive system and the occurrence of stagnation of food.
  2. Lure. Early introduced complementary foods are not able to be digested due to the lack of necessary enzymes.
  3. Violation of the water balance. The lack of incoming fluid provokes the removal of moisture from the feces, which leads to their hardening.
  4. Mom's nutrition. Failure to comply with dietary rules during breastfeeding creates a risk of abdominal discomfort in the baby.
  5. Fecal plug, bowel obstruction are suspected or diagnosed.

If the child has a restless condition, a stomach ache, or swells like a drum, treatment should begin as soon as possible.

It is possible to carry out soap therapy to a baby or an older child only under certain conditions:

  • Lack of defecation is associated with a violation of the fluid intake regime.
  • Stool is disturbed due to improper nutrition.
  • Taking medications.

In other cases, it is necessary to consult a qualified doctor.

To use any drug to cure an ailment, you need only in consultation with the doctor. A child's body is more vulnerable than that of an adult, so treatment with soap can cause a chemical burn in the anus. In the future, this becomes the cause of the occurrence of ulcers of the lower intestines.

The use of soap to restore bowel movements in a newborn is strictly prohibited!

Use for pregnant women

Methods of gentle therapy are used for pregnant women. Not all medications can be used. This also applies to the treatment of constipation. The use of soap or soapy water during gestation is very limited.

The positive effect of baby soap in the absence of defecation in pregnant women against the background of changes in hormonal levels was noted.

It is necessary to understand that soap therapy from constipation during pregnancy is only a temporary relief. If you do not solve the true cause of food obstruction, then the problem returns or develops into a chronic form.

Contraindications

It is possible to use the help of soap or soap solution to cleanse the intestines if you are sure about the causes of constipation. Only the absence of a serious illness with a symptom in the form of a lack of defecation allows the procedure to be applied.

Constipation soap

Contraindications for using soap or soap solution for constipation:

  1. The lack of bowel movement is chronic. This type of constipation is caused by serious disorders of the internal organs of the digestive system. The soap will not solve the underlying problem, but will exacerbate the situation.
  2. There was no bowel movement for 3 days. As a result of the long-term presence of food residues in the canal, it leads to the occurrence of putrefactive processes. The released toxins are absorbed into the bloodstream and distributed throughout the body's systems. Intoxication occurs.
  3. The chair is accompanied by nausea, vomiting. Body temperature rises, pain syndrome appears. The provoking factors are intestinal infections. The fight against them should take place with medications and under the supervision of a doctor.
  4. Diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. The discomfort is caused by excessive motor activity in one of the parts of the digestive tract.

  6. Peptic ulcer, duodenal ulcer.
  7. Hemorrhoids, the presence of fissures in the anal passage. In this case, it is not recommended to use laundry soap.
  8. Pregnancy is also a contraindication to the use of soap therapy. This can lead to complications.

Dangers of Treating Bad Stools with Soap

Soap is used only as a temporary remedy for relief now. To completely get rid of an unpleasant and dangerous symptom, you need to understand what led to its occurrence.

Constipation poisons the body

With the constant use of soap, side effects may occur:

  • Disorder of the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Chemical burns on the walls and mucous membrane of the rectum and lower part of the colon.
  • Against the background of constant inflammatory processes, ulcers appear, developing into a serious disease.

Any natural soap, including household soap, contains alkalis and fats. In the body, the components leave traces, this applies to alkaline compounds. If a classic toilet soap is used as a rectal suppository or enema, a disease - tenesmus - may occur. The disease is characterized by frequent urge to use the toilet, unsuccessful. The resulting spasm has a painful continuation. At the same time, the nerve endings on the intestinal walls are irritated. The disease is practically not amenable to therapy.

Absence of stool due to malnutrition, insufficient fluid intake are indications for the use of soap therapy.
