Kissel for pancreatitis: can you drink regular or from oatmeal

Pancreatitis is a severe inflammation. In pathology, pancreatic enzymes, having no outlet in the duodenum, are activated in the organ itself, destroying the tissues. There is a disorder of the digestive system. Among the main causes of pancreatitis are alcohol abuse, fatty, spicy and smoked food, gallbladder disease, genetic predisposition, abdominal trauma. Acute and chronic forms of the disease are known.

An important component of treatment for inflammation of the pancreas will be the correct diet and adherence to a strict diet. In the acute course of the disease, fasting is prescribed in the first 2-3 days. It is allowed to use mineral water heated to 37 degrees in small portions without gas or a rosehip decoction. In the future, after stabilization of the patient's condition, a special diet is prescribed. Excluded from the diet are broths, fried and uncooked smoked products, fresh bread and pastries, raw vegetables and fruits. Take food in small portions 5-6 times a day. When preparing dishes, products are boiled or baked, grinding to a mushy state. From drinks, weak tea, compotes and jelly are recommended.

Kissel for pancreatitis and its benefits

Kissel for pancreatitis is a rare dish that can be consumed in the acute stage. On these days, it is important to reduce the amount of pancreatic enzymes, avoiding new attacks. Kissel copes with the task, the slightly alkaline medium of the drink neutralizes the acid of gastric juice.

Due to its viscous consistency, the jelly envelops the walls of the intestines and stomach, without causing irritation, and is well absorbed. Increases the motility of the gastrointestinal tract, normalizes the stool. A glass of nutritious drink can replace a full breakfast or afternoon snack. More often than others, they prepare milk, fruit and berry or oatmeal jelly.

Homemade kissel

Fruit and berry jelly

On the 4-5th day from the onset of the disease, fruit and berry jelly is added to the diet. Prepared from canned juices or puree, preferably from fresh fruits and berries, containing more vitamins and healthy fiber. Any fruit is suitable, with the exception of citrus fruits and cranberries. The cooking technology is simple. The starch is diluted with cold water and carefully poured into boiling water. When the liquid thickens, add chopped fruits or berries and boil for 2 minutes, preserving the beneficial substances. Kissel is cooled, filtered through a sieve. Sweetened with sugar substitutes. Better to use honey.

Fresh fruits are successfully replaced with dried ones. Dried fruits are boiled, filtered, starch is introduced into the resulting broth and sweetened with honey. Nutritionists recommend cooking jelly from prunes, dried apricots, pears and apples.

A possible cooking option is to use preserves and jams instead of fresh or dried fruits, diluting to the desired consistency. Jam-based jelly is prepared faster, but it contains few useful substances and is not recommended for use in the acute stage of the disease. Often doctors are asked the question - is it allowed to use ready-made concentrates in powder or in briquettes? The answer is negative. You cannot cook jelly from ready-made mixtures! Those contain flavors, dyes and other components that can harm the digestive system and cause a sharp exacerbation of the disease.

Berry jelly

Milk jelly

Milk, which becomes the basis of a recipe for making jelly, is a source of nutrients, including calcium, which is easily absorbed by the body, contributes to the restoration of the digestive system and the speedy recovery. Given the nature of the disease, milk for jelly is selected with a low fat content.

Milk is brought to a boil, sweetened with honey or sugar syrup. It is not forbidden to add spices - cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg. A starch solution is poured in a thin stream and cooked to the desired consistency, stirring constantly. It is consumed warm as an independent dish or as an addition to soufflé, casseroles, and crumbly porridge.

Oatmeal jelly

Nutritionists and gastroenterologists agree that oatmeal jelly is most useful for pancreatitis because:

  • Normalizes intestinal motility, eliminates dysbiosis.
  • Serves as an excellent adsorbent, absorbs toxins and other harmful substances.
  • It has no contraindications.
  • Indicated for use on the third day after the onset of the disease.
Kissel on oats

Let's take a simple recipe for making oatmeal jelly. Oat flour - oatmeal is diluted with water, put on fire. Cook, stirring until thick, filter, getting rid of lumps, cool and drink. Such a drink is undoubtedly useful.

Real medicinal oatmeal jelly is prepared in a different way. His recipe was patented in 1992 by the doctor Vladimir Izotov, bringing together the experience of ancient healers and the achievements of modern medicine. The drink is called Izotov's jelly.

Healing jelly Izotov

To prepare the drink, you will need 3 glasses of Hercules oatmeal, half a glass of low-fat kefir and three liters of warm water.

The flakes are poured into a jar, poured with water, kefir is added and mixed. The jar is taken in a large volume so that the water does not reach the edges, otherwise, as a result of fermentation, the liquid will spill out. The jar is closed, placed in a dark place for 2 days. After this time, the contents are filtered through a sieve or cheesecloth. The resulting liquid is drained, two liters of water are added to the remaining flakes, mixed well, filtered. The resulting liquid is poured into a jar, left at room temperature for 12 hours.

Izotov's drink

As a result, the contents of the jar are divided into two layers. Above there will be liquid, or oat kvass, at the bottom - a white precipitate - sour oat concentrate. It must be carefully separated, placed in containers and stored in the refrigerator for up to three weeks. This is how the semi-finished product of the famous Izotov jelly is obtained. In the future, when fermenting the next batch of oatmeal, it is allowed to ferment not with kefir, but with a small amount of concentrate.

To prepare medicinal jelly, 50-100 grams of concentrate is diluted in a liter of boiled water and boiled over low heat. The cooking time depends on the consistency of the final product. On average, 10-15 minutes. Add honey, jam or dried fruits to the finished drink - raisins, dried apricots, figs, season with cream, berry syrups or butter. The list depends on the approved products. Drink jelly warm at any time of the day. It is advisable that three hours pass between consumption and the next meal.

The unique properties of Izotov's jelly are manifested in the treatment of diseases of the pancreas and gastrointestinal tract. Studies have shown that regular consumption of the drink strengthens cardiovascular system, relieves fatigue, increases efficiency, improves the condition of the body, strengthens the immune system.
