Soap contains 10% tar, the rest of its components are the components used in an ordinary detergent - fats, salts, alkalis. In combination, they perfectly fight against infectious lesions of the skin and nails, in particular a fungus, preventing the growth of pathogenic flora.

The systematic use of tar soap for onychomycosis improves blood circulation in the treated area, which stabilizes local cell regeneration, relieves pain, promotes rapid growth of the nail plate. Additionally, it dries the skin, preventing the growth of fungal infection outside the inflammation focus.

The only drawback of this soap is its specific smell. But, unlike pure birch tar, it quickly disappears within a few hours. To prevent the smell of the product from spreading through the living room, it should be stored in a closed container.

How is the treatment carried out?

Treatment of nail fungus with tar soap is recommended to be practiced in combination with other medications and folk remedies to enhance the therapeutic effect. It should be used 2 times a day. Let's consider the main ways of application.

Foot baths. The tool softens the nail plates affected by the fungus, preparing them for further drug treatment. It also prevents the spread of the infectious process.

2 tbsp. grind spoons of tar soap with a grater and dissolve in two liters of hot water. Extremities with onychomycosis are immersed in a bath for 20 minutes. After the procedure, the skin of the legs should be dried with a towel.

Gauze compresses. This method effectively helps against nail fungus. At the same time, at first, its action can alert the patient - the affected plate will begin to peel off, but only in order to make room for the growth of a new one.

Treat the foci of mycosis on the nails with soapy foam, then cover the product with polyethylene and fix it with a gauze bandage. The procedure is carried out in the evening, going to bed with a compress. In the morning, hands or feet, depending on the location of the infection, must be washed under running water. Treatment is practiced daily until the disease is completely eliminated.

Soda and tar soap. This method of fighting mycosis is also popular in traditional medicine. It destroys the infection in a targeted manner, promoting the growth of a new healthy nail plate.

To prepare the product, you will need 1 tbsp. a spoonful of liquid tar soap, the same amount of baking soda and a little water. Mix all the ingredients until the consistency of sour cream and apply the antifungal mixture to the lesions, gently rubbing it into the nail. The course of treatment will be long - it will take at least 2 months of daily procedures to recover.

Iodine and tar soap. Hot baths soften the nail plate, and the antiseptic has a deeper antimicrobial effect.

Grate 1 tbsp of tar soap into the shavings. spoons and dissolve it in two liters of water. Add 10 drops of iodine to the liquid. Steam feet in the bath for 20 minutes. Do the procedures every other day for 2 months. During this period, changes for the better should occur - the nail plate will begin to crumble and peel off, that is, periodically it needs to be removed with a nail file or scissors, then the growth of healthy fabrics.

Lotions and trays with salt and tar soap. Dissolve in warm water for 1 tsp. a spoonful of sea salt and a handful of grated soap. Hold your feet or hands in the resulting product or rub it onto your nails in the form of compresses, fixing it on top with a wet disc moistened with liquid, polyethylene and a bandage. The procedure is repeated every day until recovery.

In order for the treatment of foot fungus to be effective, it is recommended to use several recipes at the same time, which has a positive effect on health. In the process of therapy, one should not forget about the rules of hygiene, including disinfection of shoes.
