Preparations for the treatment of coxarthrosis

Consider preparations for the treatment of coxarthrosis. Untimely treatment of arthrosis is possible only in the most neglected situations, in case of 1 and 2 stages of the disease. In the case of a difficult phase, when the joint is almost completely destroyed, only operational therapy is possible - the replacement of the joint by an artificial prototype.

Consider preparations for treatment in candles, tablets and injections:

  1. Anti-inflammatory nonsteroidal preparations. They are used during the "reactive" inflammatory process in the joint. Due to the strong anti-inflammatory effect, these remedies relieve pain in the joints. Unfortunately, these drugs are not able to positively affect the course of the disease - they are able to eliminate only such manifestations of it, which include pain, inflammation, puffiness. In addition, it should be borne in mind that in the case of prolonged use, anti-inflammatory drugs are able to inhibit the ability of articular cartilages to recover and quite often contribute to the occurrence of various side effects on the part of the organs inside.

  2. Vessel dilatation preparations. This is a fairly useful group of medicines. These drugs, when used correctly( consultation with the doctor is necessary!) Have a small number of contraindications; They contribute to the restoration of the joint by improving the blood flow of the joints and relieving spasm of the capillaries. So it becomes easier to deliver the "building staff" to the affected joint, and besides it becomes possible to eliminate the night "vascular" pain sensations. Note. When you use these drugs in tablets, you need to take them during the first three days for one night only for one tablet, thus checking your portability and only then you need to go for 2-3 times.
  3. Muscle relaxants are drugs that allow you to relax your muscles. These drugs can well relieve painful muscle spasms in the case of coxarthrosis. In addition, use them carefully, given their likely effects on the human nervous system: they are able to cause dizziness, intoxication and a separate inhibition of consciousness.
  4. Chondroprotectors are the means to restore cartilage: chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine, don, rumalon, arteparone, structum. The most useful drug group for coxarthrosis is this one. For the treatment of coxarthrosis drugs contribute to the restoration of cartilage, nourish it with complex components in its structure. Chondroprotectors, unfortunately, quite slowly lower the pain intensity, but with constant consumption contribute to stopping the disease itself. You will not immediately be able to feel the effect of using them. At first, it will not be expressed so clearly as if using inflammatory drugs, but in the most distant future chondroprotectors are much more useful - they affect both the period of intake and for a long period after, while they are affected precisely by the restoration of the cartilage itself. In this case, they practically do not have contraindications - exceptions are only for inflammatory joint diseases, individual intolerance and pregnancy.
  5. Intra-articular injections of steroid hormones. It is not desirable to carry out more than 3-4 hormonal nyxes in the same joint, the interval between injections should be at least 2 weeks.

Local medications - compresses, ointments, lotions. Most patients with arthrosis often rely on various advertised creams, ointments, balms, lotions, almost as a single panacea. In such situations, I try to explain that the hip joint is deep enough under the muscle layer; In addition, our skin has excellent "barrier" protective characteristics;Because to expect that any substance can penetrate through it in the necessary quantity, it can go deep through the muscle thickness and reach the hip joint, unfortunately, it is impossible.

Perhaps one effect of local drugs in the case of coxarthrosis treatment is to improve blood circulation( especially in case of vigorous rubbing) - which is quite useful, and even with a significant effect on the muscles, occasionally in a number of situations you can achieve the removal of painful muscle spasm. For this purpose, any warming compresses or ointments can come in, and there is no need to purchase any miracle ointments, etc.

Consider physiotherapy treatments for coxarthrosis

Different physiotherapeutic procedures in the case of coxarthrosis, again due to the glaucous arrangement of the hip joint, are mainly used only to improve blood circulation and relieve painful muscle spasms.

Extension of the joint is carried out with the help of traction apparatus or by manual therapy.

This is practically the only procedure that helps to grow articulating bones, allowing to increase the distance between them and thereby reducing the load on cartilage of joints. But the traction of the hip joint with the help of a traction apparatus has the disadvantage that the traction is carried out only along the vertical axis, while the traction is slightly anatomically more advantageous slightly sideways, outwards.
Extension with the help of manual therapy is much more physiological, helps to better determine the level of the load, taking into account the weight of the patient, his ability and the condition of the musculoskeletal system. Disadvantages can be considered the complexity of the method - the procedure is difficult physically for both the doctor and the patient. In addition, the fashion for manual therapy could generate a large detachment of healers-charlatans, pressing, driving and kneading the joint during the "treatment", ie, doing the opposite of what is required.
