Tuberculous intoxication in children
Remember:
- Pirke's reaction helps to check if a child is infected with tuberculosis;
- if a positive reaction to Pirke is established, further medical examination is necessary;
- medications help prevent the development of local forms of tuberculosis, as well as the transition of early tuberculous intoxication into a chronic one;
- medication should be given gently, following a prescribed course by the doctor;
- drug treatment should be combined with proper regimen and rational nutrition.
