Akrodinia

Acrodynia is a disease of the nervous system of an unclear etiology that is characterized by behavioral changes, up to pronounced mental disorders. Also, the acronia is expressed by polymorphous changes on the skin of the extremities( peeling, acro-erythema, papules, and in some cases necrotic changes).Basically occurs in children under the age of five

Causes of

There are currently no reasons for the onset of this disease, but there are several hypotheses:

In the majority of recorded cases, this disease begins with an increase in overall body temperature, loss of appetite, photophobia, anxiety and anguish. There are changes in behavior, there is a tendency to solitude. There is also a cold snap of the skin of the feet and brushes. There are pains and severe itching on the affected parts of the skin. In some cases, skin peeling, hyperhidrosis, graying and hair loss are observed.

. Treatment

First of all, a full-fledged, regular diet is needed. Assign detoxication therapy, the introduction of vitamins( B1, B6, C, nicotinic acid).Prescribe anticholinergic drugs( belladonna, atropine, etc.), sedatives( trioksazin), antihistamines( pipolfen, dimedrol).

In combination with medications, physiotherapeutic procedures( UFO) and hydrotherapy

are prescribed. Forecast

Acrodonia can last for weeks, months and even years and often ends in spontaneous healing.

In most cases, with a timely-appointed adequate treatment, the prognosis is quite favorable, but in severe cases( extremely rare), a lethal outcome is possible.
