Preparation of the solution
The powder from one sachet should be diluted in 1 liter of clean drinking or chilled boiled water. The shelf life of the finished solution is a maximum of 24 hours at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. In order to avoid side effects, you need to strictly observe the proportions. Dilution in milk, yogurt or juice, add sweeteners and other substances is unacceptable. Violation of the preparation technology reduces the effectiveness of the medicine.

Instructions for use for adults
Adults need to take 10 ml per 1 kg of weight. After calculating the required amount of suspension, divide into several parts, drink in small sips within the first hour after vomiting. If the urge does not recur, gradually increase the portions. If you feel better, the dose is reduced to 5-10 ml per 1 kg of body weight. If the nausea does not stop for a long time, increase the amount of suspension to the initial one. When a repeated increase in dosage does not help, seek medical attention, carry out subsequent treatment under the supervision of specialists.
Shake well before use. Continue therapy until the feeling of intense thirst, dryness of the mucous membrane ceases.
Instructions for use for children
Vomiting in children is quite common. There is a loss of a large amount of fluid, an electrolyte imbalance. A child dehydrates much faster than an adult.
The suspension for children is prepared in the same way as for adults, but the dosage is different. For a one-year-old child, 25 to 60 ml is enough for 1 kg of weight. But you need to start with 5 ml, so as not to induce repeated vomiting! The first 3 times, give 1 teaspoon every 10 minutes, gradually increase the volume to 10-15 ml. Within 5-10 hours, no more than 60 ml per kg of the child's weight should be given! If the symptoms persist, continue to give the baby 10-15 ml of water per 1 kg of body weight. For children over 9 years of age, the dosage for adults is appropriate.
If a small child refuses to drink from a spoon, the medicine is carefully injected with a syringe without a needle or with a pipette. When the baby cannot be drunk, the solution can be frozen, put on the tongue in small pieces under the guise of lollipops.
Application during pregnancy, breastfeeding
Rehydron is safe for pregnant, lactating women, it is recommended to consult a doctor before starting treatment. In order to avoid side effects, use, strictly observing the dosage, the recommendations of a specialist.

Contraindications for use
If the nausea was one-time, short-lived, you should not take the drug. The body will cope with this phenomenon on its own. It is undesirable to give a baby up to a year, a high sodium content is harmful to a fragile body.
For children under 12 months old, the powder can be diluted with two liters of boiled water. Low concentration is less dangerous for the baby.
Contraindications for Rehydron:
- diabetes;
- liver and kidney diseases;
- intestinal obstruction;
- low blood pressure;
- unconsciousness;
- intolerance to the components.
Interaction with other drugs
It is unacceptable to combine with substances similar in composition to avoid an overdose of active elements. Interaction with other medications is poorly understood. It gives a mild alkaline reaction, reducing the effect of drugs. The absorption of drugs directly depends on the pH of the intestinal environment.
Overdose
To accurately calculate the dosage at the beginning of treatment, the patient is weighed, the degree of dehydration and weight loss are assessed.
Overdose occurs from the use of excessive amounts, high concentration of substances.

Overdose signs:
- drowsiness;
- confused consciousness;
- convulsions;
- poor ventilation of the lungs, respiratory arrest;
- increased body temperature;
- muscle weakness.
Allergic reactions to the constituent components are not excluded.
If you find such signs, immediately consult a doctor!

When it is not possible to buy Regidron at the pharmacy, you can make it at home: mix one dining room at a time tablespoons of sugar, salt, a quarter teaspoon of baking soda, half a liter of boiled room water temperature. The electrolyte obtained in this way can be lower than the pharmaceutical quality, even if the proportions are observed.
