TANNINS They inhibit the growth and reproduction of pathogens of onychomycosis, reduce the area of inflammatory processes.
VITAMIN C Improves the appearance of affected skin and nails. Increases the firmness and elasticity of tissues.

Thanks to the combination of healing components, fir oil is suitable for the treatment and prevention of nail fungus. As is the case with all folk remedies, this action is effective at the initial stage of onychomycosis.

Instructions for use

This natural remedy has a 100% natural composition, which in most cases is well accepted by the human body. The product is most effective against pathogens of nail candidiasis or fungi of the genus Candida. So how do you treat the disease with fir oil? Let's find out further.

The initial stage of onychomycosis. When the pathological process is localized in the nail plates and causes only minor external symptoms of trouble, foot baths will perfectly help to cope with the infection.

Fir oil bath

It is not difficult to make them: 15 drops of fir oil are added to 1 liter of water heated to 45 ° C. The feet are immersed in the solution for 15 minutes every evening, shortly before bed, for 10 days. The procedure helps to neutralize unpleasant odors, improve skin tone, quick healing of microcracks and prevent the growth and reproduction of pathogens. It is recommended to do baths with fir oil for any form of the pathological process, both independently and during treatment with medications, if we are talking about an old infection.

The advanced stage of onychomycosis. It is recommended, in addition to steaming, to rub essential oil into the surface of the nail and leave it until absorbed. Additionally, nearby healthy areas of the skin should be treated, even if there are no visible signs of pathology on it. The procedure is repeated 3 times a day, combined with evening baths based on fir oil.

Rubbing fir oil

An equally effective method of treating nail fungus is the following procedure:

  • steam feet in hot water with the addition of sea salt and soda for 15 minutes;
  • wipe your feet dry with a towel, nail scissors and pumice stone to remove softened nail tissue affected by a fungal infection;
  • apply cotton swabs abundantly soaked in fir oil to the foci of onychomycosis, put on clean cotton socks on top and go to bed;
  • in the morning rinse your feet with running water.

For a greater therapeutic effect, the instructions for this scheme can be slightly changed, and use a whole mixture of esters - combine tea tree, clove and fir oil in equal proportions. This composition allows you to cure difficult cases of mycosis of the skin and nails, provided that the person does not have an allergic intolerance to the listed components. The tool is applied to the nails every evening until healthy plates grow back.

The nail fungus is prone to frequent relapses. Therefore, even with a visible improvement in the condition of the legs, one should not lose vigilance and skip treatment sessions. They need to be carried out regularly, without giving the pathogens of onychomycosis a single chance of survival.

The effectiveness of the remedy with a running fungus

If we are talking about an old chronic form of the disease, then local antifungal agents, including fir oil, will not be able to cope with the infection. At this stage, it is recommended to use them exclusively for an auxiliary purpose, and to use oral and external antimycotics for the treatment of onychomycosis.

This is due to the fact that with an advanced disease, fungal spores enter the body and spread through it with a general blood flow, lingering in separate systems where they settle, continue to grow and reproduce, negatively affecting the functioning immunity. Fir oil and other external agents cannot destroy mycelium and mycospores from the inside, therefore, with an old infection, treatment should be strictly conservative in accordance with the doctor's prescriptions.

Use for children, pregnant women, lactating

Fir oil is not recommended to be used to combat nail fungus for children under 3 years old, expectant and lactating mothers. This is due to the fact that the components of the product can be absorbed into the systemic circulation and be unsafe for the body, so how they are able to have a negative effect on the work of certain systems, in particular, neuropsychic and digestive.

Contraindications and side effects

Fir oil is a successful remedy for nail fold fungus at an early stage, but not everyone is recommended to treat onychomycosis with it. You cannot use it in the following cases:

  • children's age up to three years;
  • pregnancy, lactation;
  • neurological disorders - convulsive syndrome, epilepsy, etc.;
  • diseases of the digestive system: gastritis and ulcers of the stomach and duodenum;
  • pathology of the urinary system;
  • individual hypersensitivity to the drug.

Among the adverse reactions to the external use of fir oil, one can distinguish burning and flushing that occurs on the treated surfaces. As a rule, these symptoms are reversible and go away on their own without the use of any means. If the reaction intensifies, most likely, we are talking about an allergy to fir oil and its further use should be canceled.

Reviews

Mila, 34 years old. “Recently I caught a fungus in the pool. I noticed the problem immediately and immediately took decisive action - every evening before going to bed I made baths with the addition of fir oil and sea salt. The result exceeded expectations - after 14 days the condition of the nails returned to normal, and after another week there was no trace of the symptoms of the fungus. Recommend".

Sergey, 27 years old. “Somewhere I caught onychomycosis and decided to use folk recipes. I read reviews on the Internet that fir oil can be applied to nails 3 times a day for a month. I tried not to miss a single treatment. The remedy helped - the disease passed within the specified period, possibly because it was at an early stage. "

Dasha, 23 years old. “With foot baths and rubbing in pure fir essential oil, I was able to cure nail fungus in a few months. The product is sold in every pharmacy and is inexpensive, while it helps to restore health and beauty to our legs. "

Onychomycosis seriously spoils the appearance of nails and negatively affects human health in general, if the disease is not treated in time. Fir oil is a good remedy at the initial stage of the pathological process, but, unfortunately, it is not a panacea and will not help properly if the infection has gone far. Therefore, the treatment of the fungus should be started with a visit to the doctor.
