Local treatment of foci of infection and nearby skin areas is most popular in traditional medicine. For this purpose, various compresses, ointments and decoctions are prepared, which have appropriate therapeutic effects. Before using them, it is necessary to prepare the nail plates for exposure procedures by steaming them in a hot foot bath and using pumice to remove the upper stratum corneum of the affected tissues. With combined treatment, after phytotherapy, pharmacy preparations prescribed by a specialist are additionally used.

PEPPERMINT. The plant is used for local applications. A gruel is prepared from its fresh chopped leaves and coarse salt, which is applied to the foci of onychomycosis and fixed on top with a bandage for 1 hour. You can make a medicinal product from dry raw materials in the same way. Compresses are practiced daily until symptoms improve.
