Refusal of coffee and tea Drinking caffeinated beverages has become a part of our everyday life. And so tight that some people do not think their life without another cup of caffeine. In addition to the physical dependence that caffeine causes, the procedure for taking caffeine drinks has its own psychological background: 5 minutes spent with a mug of your favorite drink are associated with us with a rest period. This is especially true in the workplace, when you want to hide from the endless fuss and problems and give yourself a few extra minutes of rest, and the company of the hot cup of your favorite drink acts as an excuse for this.

Caffeine is not for nothing considered an easy drug, and it's hard not to agree with it, knowing what properties it possesses:

  • Gives a rush of strength and energy;
  • Develops dependency;
  • It is able to improve the state of the individual for a short time, by its toning property;
  • Relieves or alleviates pain;
  • Temporarily improves mental activity and the brain as a whole.

Especially speaking about tea and coffee, we mean what we sell in stores under this name. And this, you will agree, is far from natural origin, because large enterprises are not inclined to think about the naturalness of their products and about the health of the consumer - only financial benefit is the driving impetus. Because, pouring another packet of tea with boiling water, it is strange to see how in a second the transparent water becomes saturated with a dark color. This tea does not behave this way. So, unnatural components are used.

Nevertheless, if you try not to exceed reasonable rates of consumption of tea, coffee and other caffeinated drinks, then your habit will not be particularly harmful. Each person will determine his norm, putting his hand on the heart( if this is of course necessary for a person).

Personal experience of giving up coffee and tea

Since I was always interested in the theme of a healthy lifestyle( it just so happens that the sores did not pass me by), I always tried to make my life less destructive for my health. I did not drink coffee that much, although the home brewed it every day. It just so happened that my soul lay more for tea: both to black and green - no matter what it was, it also made a brew.

After learning about the harm of sugar, I, of course, tried to drink tea without it or replaced with honey. Gradually giving up sugar, you start to feel the taste of tea differently. It was a long time ago, and I did not attach much importance to such a transition - everything went naturally.

There was time, I continued to "chifirit": a day I drank about 5-6 cups of black tea - not much and not a little in general, although deliberately I did not think - there could be as much or less. Just tea drinking was for me like a ritual of rest: you come home - be sure to put the kettle on, watch the movie - brew two cups of tea and sandwiches with cups, be tired or do not want to work - make a cup of tea, justify your laziness, and how did it - drink your tea boldly. In general, tea was consumed a lot: a box of tea with a hundred packets "left" for 2-3 weeks.

The turning point

The turning point came when I started going to the gym. Naturally, I was interested in nutrition after training and how to make it so that my body learned more proteins. Sports nutrition did not apply - the dilemma with assimilation would disappear by itself. And then I accidentally heard a conversation that a certain friend did not sleep a day, just because he tried some kind of tonic infusion( such as tincture of ginseng or something like that).As explained by the narrator:

- He has good receptors, he does not drink tea or coffee. That's it and hooked.

After thinking that the "clean" receptors will not interfere with me, I took it to note and gradually began to reduce the amount of tea. This was further promoted by the fact that the taste qualities of my then tea were not distinguished by enviable: the paint that stains the water, and after which even the mug is difficult to wash. Plus, yellowing of my teeth could be compared with an avid smoker. All this I attributed to the paint-tea, as with the cleaning of teeth I was all right, and I saw the results left on the mug in the form of tea raids.

Relief from tea dependence

So gradually, I freed myself from the tea addiction and already "clean" from tea for about six months. Some kind of breaking and something else did not feel. The desire to drink that paint, which I so loved to infuse into myself, is not at all. And just to natural leaf tea I feel full loyalty - I can drink, but I can not drink. At the same time, he began to notice that the craving for sweets is weakening - it no longer seems so attractive, and its taste often becomes too sweet for me. For example, the chocolates that I liked so much to smell under the seagulls, and did not calm down until it was completely eaten, became too sweet for me. Such changes did not come immediately, but only after a few months. Apparently, this is due to the fact that the taste buds have become really more sensitive.

It seems, what is the connection between tea and chocolate? And communication is such that tea and coffee actively wash potassium from the body, which tries to fill it up by consuming chocolate products. It turns out that such a vicious circle - we are drinking tea with chocolate, the substances of which are actively washed away from our body, and our body, not filling this reserve, requires more and more. Thus, it can be concluded that drinking of caffeinated beverages provokes cravings for sweet .Although some will find this statement rather controversial, but at least the logic is there( and I also confirm this by practice).In addition, chocolate, as well as tea and coffee, contains caffeine, depending on which I no longer have. This is another factor that speaks in favor of the close relationship of cocoa-containing foods and caffeine beverages. That's such a theory of brothers!

Tea and coffee substitutes

Of course, completely remove hot drinks from life is difficult. Especially when you want to warm up, or you feel an incomprehensible "inner cold"( apparently this is the effect of the accustomed organism to the hot one).We have to look for an alternative, because the "internal cold" syndrome still bothers me. Perhaps it will pass with time, but I do not count on it. For myself, I found a simple recipe: honey, lemon, ginger root. It turns out a kind of Teraflu. I read on the Internet, , many advise brewing dogrose, chicory, various herbs and berries .I have not tried it myself, but I am sure that it is a worthy alternative to caffeine, both to taste and benefit.

What in the end?

In addition to the above-described effects, I have not noticed any other supernatural changes in my health, but I'm sure they will. Why? Because I did not drink enough water all this time and only recently began to think about it. A refusal of tea is considered justified, since the main destructive factor of caffeine drinks is dehydration of the body, i.e. Drinking a glass of tea or coffee, we lose more moisture than we received. And this can not but affect the functioning of the body, because we are still 70% water. Therefore, get a habit of drinking plain purified water, and start your day with a glass of water( see the water balance in the body of a man).For those who want to learn more about this, advise the book "Your body asks for water" .I will repeat once again the thought I want to convey.

Along with the rejection of caffeinated products, try to increase the intake of simple purified water. So you quickly overcome the chronic dehydration that most people on the planet suffer, especially coffee and tea lovers. Try to bring your diet of water to 1.5 liters per day - this is the minimum that will work for our health.

P.S.Teeth all the same became more light on tone two-three, that it is not essential on stomatologic measures. But I did not apply any extra efforts and did not use bleaching pastes, so I think that I still have the potential for teeth whitening and in a half a year I will be able to achieve a noticeable improvement.

P.P.S.I am not an ardent opponent of tea and coffee, and if I am offered to drink one of these drinks somewhere, and I will want this, I will not refuse.
