Meat for men - what's the use, and what's the harm?
It would seem, to whom the product would not have a twofold relationship, but meat in the male diet is the basis of nutrition from time immemorial. So it is, that is, it was when a man extracted hunting for himself and his family. After all, meat is not only a nutritious product, but also the main source of animal protein, fats, carbohydrates, amino acids, as well as vitamins and minerals. Particularly important is contained in the meat of zinc, which affects testosterone levels( see "Zinc and testosterone - are inseparable concepts").
So what's the catch? It's all about the technologies of growing cattle used in the modern food industry, the main negative factor of which lies with the use of hormones.
Why are hormones used? Why in the food industry chemicals are used, which in time have a detrimental effect on the human body? The answer to this question is simple: because of money.
Animal fattening goes better if hormones are used. Meat from animals that are given hormones, have better flavor, they gain weight faster, produce more milk, and as a result of this - profits will be greater. Currently, most animals are fattened( cows, sheep, pigs) are given special hormones. These chemicals are often administered by animals by implanting special capsules that slowly release hormones. These hormones are deposited in fat cells of animals, and we consume such meat.

chemical composition of consumed meat
Hormones that are given to animals, usually contain zeranol( a synthetic estrogen), progesterone, melengestrol( synthetic progesterone, which prevents excitation)Required( a synthetic substance with the effects of both testosterone and estrogen), as well as directly testosterone and estrogen.
Of course, the amount of these substances in meat and milk, is very little - nanograms( billionths of a gram), but with time, when a whole generation of people consume meat from hormone levels, these substances have a biological effect. In this regard, estrogen is especially harmful.
Recently, the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States has introduced estrogen into the list of cancer-forming substances. Excess estrogen in the environment is also partly responsible for:
- in reducing the amount of sperm in men as a result of decreased testosterone production;
- of early puberty of adolescent girls( estrogen debut);
- increased incidence of infertility in both men and women;
- more frequent cases of breast cancer.
How much can you eat meat without harm to health?
Eat meat no more than 2 times a week. Let it be beef, lamb or pork. These meat products should not be used constantly. If you eat meat, limit yourself to two 50-gram portions, a card-sized deck or a bar of soap, per week. Of course, this may seem too small, if you usually eat huge pieces of steak at a time. But remember that with each piece you absorb a large amount of harmful substances.
not stop eating meat
- Look, doctor, in the meat so many man-made chemicals can I stop eating it?
- No.
However, I advise you to eat meat, but in limited quantities, especially because the basis of meat - cholesterol is necessary for the production of steroid hormones, which include testosterone. Observing a vegetarian diet, you will not get such substances. In addition, the meat supplies vital components such as protein.
Replace meat with poultry
Although avian meat is not immune from chemicals, chicken, turkey and other poultry have less animal fat than red meat, which means fewer artificial hormones remain.(To reduce the intake of such substances as much as possible, remove the layer of subcutaneous fat).
Eat fish more than 3 times a week
Any fish is very useful, especially sushi, as they are served fresh. But it is especially recommended: anchovies, perch, crabs, trout, halibut, herring, mackerel, sait, salmon, sardines, mollusks, shrimps, tuna.
Fish as a food product is very useful. First, if you eat "fish" protein, you need to limit the consumption of beef, lamb and pork. Secondly, many fish species are rich in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. These potent substances help reduce blood pressure, cholesterol and prevent a heart attack.
