Tansy: useful properties and contraindications


Tansy is a perennial plant belonging to the family of the Astroids or the Complexaceae.At us among the people it has received the name «a wild rowan» owing to the specific form of inflorescences.Other synonyms are "button-nose" and "helminth".The word "tansy" in Western Slavic languages ​​means "musk"( all parts of the plant really emit a strong characteristic flavor).

The medicinal plant used in both folk and official medicine grows mainly on clay soils of meadows and forests.Tansy is unpretentious and has a high resistance to frost.The distribution area of ​​wild mountain ash is the temperate zones of the entire Northern Hemisphere.In our country it can not be found only in the regions of the Far North.
