Blind sounding of the gallbladder at home

Almost all diseases of the gallbladder - an organ of the hepatobiliary system necessary for the accumulation of bile and its further evacuation into the duodenum, - accompanied by stagnation of bile and its violation outflow. One of the methods for restoring bile excretion is gallbladder sounding. In a hospital setting, this procedure is performed using duodenal intubation - parenteral or duodenal (through duodenum) the introduction of irritating solutions that relax the sphincter of the common bile duct and stimulate contraction gallbladder. The bile released during the procedure into the small intestine is absorbed by a special aspirator inserted through the duodenum.

Duodenal intubation is an unpleasant procedure that requires special drug preparation and adherence to a diet on the eve of the study. A complication of this method of stimulating bile secretion can be trauma to the mucous membranes of the esophagus or intestines, as well as internal bleeding. In addition, instrumental probing is contraindicated in case of allergy to Atropine, 25% magnesium sulfate solution and other drugs used in as stimuli of secretion, therefore, more and more often, to eliminate stagnation of bile, sounding of the gallbladder is used without introducing tools. This technique is called blind probing and can be performed at home if the patient has the necessary information and techniques for performing and possible complications.

What it is?

Blind probing of the gallbladder (intubation, tubing) is a method of non-invasive lavage of the gallbladder and its ducts in order to stimulate secretory function and eliminate biliary stasis. The broad concept of blind probing also includes a tubing of the liver, a vital exocrine gland located in the abdominal cavity in the right upper quadrant. Tubage of the gallbladder not only ensures the prevention of diseases of the hepatobiliary system, but also improves the functioning of the liver, on the work of which the general well-being of a person and his immunological status depend.

During probeless washing, the bile ducts are cleared, the outflow of bile improves, and prevention of calculous cholecystitis - inflammation of the gallbladder that develops against the background of deposition calculi. Concretions are hard deposits of various shapes and densities, formed from cholesterol, calcium salts and bile dyes. Calculous cholecystitis is always a complication of gallstone disease, therefore the use of a blind probing in persons at risk for the development of cholelithiasis is aimed at the primary prevention of this diseases.

Who needs liver and gallbladder tubing?

Statistics show that almost 22% of the adult population are at risk for developing liver and gallbladder diseases. More than half of them are people who periodically break their diet and consume large amounts of spicy and fatty foods. An increased risk of cholelithiasis is also observed in smokers, people with chronic alcohol dependence, people with a sedentary lifestyle.

Abdominal ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasound

It has been proven that physical inactivity (disorder of the musculoskeletal system, leading to a decrease in strength muscle contraction) leads to disruption of the digestive and respiratory function and the development of systemic hypoxia. Chronic oxygen deficiency resulting from poor circulation increases the risk of inflammation of the bile ducts and gallbladder, therefore, blind probing is recommended to be carried out in courses several times a year for people with "sedentary" professions, obesity and other hypodynamic disorders.

Other indications for probeless flushing are:

  • inflammation of the gallbladder or its ducts (not associated with cholelithiasis);
  • inflammation of the liver (hepatitis), accompanied by bile congestion;
  • inflammation of the mucous membranes of the duodenum;
  • chronic inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis);
  • violation of the motor and contractile function of the walls of the bile ducts.

Note! Tubage according to Demyanov (blind probing of the gallbladder) can also be recommended for patients with overweight, non-infectious skin diseases and chronic helminthic invasion.

Technique and recipes

Blind probing of the organs of bile secretion outside the hospital can be carried out in different ways. Some of them may have individual contraindications, therefore, it is recommended to undergo a diagnostic examination and consult a specialist before use.

Mineral salts

This is the most affordable and popular way of liver and gallbladder tubing without the use of hardware, instrumental and medication methods. For blind sounding with mineral water, it is necessary to use medicinal table sulphate-hydrocarbonate waters with a high content of calcium, magnesium and sodium. Perfect for the procedure:

  • Essentuki (No. 4 and No. 17);
  • "Narzan";
  • Borjomi.
Essentuki

Essentuki

These are waters of medium mineralization, extracted from natural sources in Georgia and Russia (for example, in Kislovodsk).

The lavage procedure is recommended to be performed on an empty stomach in the morning. 250 ml of water should be warmed up to a temperature of 35-40 ° C and drunk in small sips. Tie a heating pad filled with hot water to the area of the right hypochondrium. After that, it is important to observe the active mode for 20 minutes. It is best to perform simple exercises that do not require sharp jerks and efforts. These can be bends back and forth and to the sides, squats, body turns, leg swings. All exercises should be done at a calm pace while maintaining a normal breathing rhythm.

Tubage warmer

After 20 minutes after taking the first portion of water, you must drink the second portion (it is also necessary to warm it up). The effect of the procedure will be higher if you replace the mineral water with a special choleretic collection, which can be bought at the pharmacy. Remove the heating pad after 40 minutes.

Advice! Choleretic collection can be replaced by any drug from the group of antispasmodics listed in the table.

Table. Antispasmodics for home gallbladderless irrigation.

Drug name Single dosage for adults
"Drotaverin" 1-2 tablets (up to 40 mg)
"No-shpa" 1-2 tablets
"Papaverine" (rectal suppositories) 1 suppository
"Spazmalgon" 1 tablet

Sorbitol

Sorbitol is a food supplement E 421, which is a sweet six-alcohol alcohol obtained by hydrogenation of glucose. Sorbitol is widely used in diabetic nutrition as a sweetener and in the production of ascorbic acid. You can buy it in any department of healthy and diabetic nutrition. Tubage using sorbitol is carried out according to the following scheme:

  • Stir 1 tablespoon of powder in 200 ml of warm water and drink in the morning on an empty stomach;
  • apply a heating pad with hot water to the right side of the abdomen for 2 hours;
  • during this time, you should maintain a moderate activity (doing cleaning, etc.).

Abundant bowel movements after tyubage with sorbitol usually begin in 1-2 hours. Feces can be yellow, light brown or greenish, depending on the concentration of bile acids and pigments.

Important! You cannot eat anything on the day of the procedure. As a drink, you can use boiled water, chamomile tea or infusion of linden flowers. Green and black tea is not allowed on this day. On the second day, the diet should consist of fruits, vegetables and juices (the volume of juice is about 700 ml per day).

Magnesium sulfate with lemon

Magnesia (Magnesium sulfate) is a powder with diuretic, laxative, anticonvulsant and antispasmodic action based on magnesium sulfate. Its action is based on relaxing the smooth muscles of the gallbladder and its ducts, eliminating spasms and facilitating the evacuation of bile. Before using magnesia, the patient should consult a doctor, since oral administration magnesia is contraindicated in low blood pressure, depression of the respiratory center and deficiency calcium. Individuals with heart disease need to be especially careful, as magnesia should not be taken orally when diseases accompanied by impaired conduction of electrical impulses between the ventricles and atria.

If there are no contraindications for use, tyubage with magnesia and lemon can be an excellent method for cleansing the organs of the hepatobiliary system at home. This is done as follows:

  • Stir 1 tablespoon of powder in 220 ml of hot water ;;
  • add 10-15 drops of lemon juice;
  • drink the prepared solution and lie on your side, putting the heating pad on your right side.

You need to get up after warming up after 1-1.5 hours. Eating is allowed 2 hours after the procedure. On the day of the event, the use of meat, fatty and spicy foods is not allowed.

The sounding scheme in this case will be slightly different from other methods, therefore, you must carefully read the description of the execution technique.

  1. On an empty stomach, eat 1 spoon of liquid flower honey and drink 120 ml of warm water.
  2. Lie on your right side, placing any heat source under it.
  3. Eat another spoonful of honey in 10 minutes (the amount of water is the same).
  4. After 20 minutes, drink a glass of hot water in small sips.
  5. Do not get out of bed for 1 hour.

The diet on the day of the procedure should consist only of low-fat plant foods (excluding legumes).

When should the procedure be abandoned?

An absolute contraindication for blind probing of the gallbladder at home is the presence of calculi in the ducts or organ cavity. This is due to the fact that during stimulation, the release of calculus into the bile duct can occur, which in most cases becomes the cause of obstruction and acute intoxication of the body. The main risks are associated with possible poisoning, blood poisoning and rupture of the bile ducts.

Gallstones

Gallstones

Other contraindications for washing the gallbladder and liver outside the hospital may be:

  • any bleeding (including menstruation in women);
  • infectious diseases of internal organs (including viral hepatitis or cirrhosis);
  • expansion of the veins of the esophagus;
  • severe pathologies of the vascular system and heart.

Women should not undergo gallbladder tubing during pregnancy and lactation.

Important! Blind probing of the gallbladder at any gestational age can cause termination of pregnancy and premature onset of labor.

During pregnancy, the procedure cannot be carried out.

Tubage of the gallbladder is an effective procedure for cleansing the organs of the hepatobiliary system and stimulating the outflow of bile. You can do it yourself at home, but before that you need to consult a doctor and undergo an ultrasound examination of the abdominal cavity. Neglecting these recommendations can lead to serious consequences, for example, rupture of the bile ducts as a result of their obstruction.
