Excursion to the anatomy

The intimate life of a man depends on many factors and the anatomicalThe structure of the penis plays an important role. Among other formations of the penis, the bridle deserves special attention. A longitudinal skin fold is located between the foreskin and the glans penis and regulates the exposure of the latter. Due to the presence of a bridle after the head is exposed, the foreskin is easily returned back. The length of the frenulum determines the position of the glans penis during erection and affects the possibility of displacement of the foreskin.

Normally the bridle of the penis is a thin elastic band that does not interfere with the movement of the head. Short bridle is stretched very poorly, which prevents the head from exposing during an erection. This condition causes severe discomfort and even pain, and can also lead to serious psychological problems in the sexual sphere. The way out of this situation can be frenulotomy - the intersection of the frenulum of the foreskin and its subsequent plasty. After lengthening the frenulum, the mobility of the foreskin increases, and all previous operations disappear unpleasant sensations.

Indications and contraindications

The plasticity of the frenulum is recommended in the following situations:

  • pain during intercourse;
  • curvature of the penis during erection;
  • tears of the frenum;
  • psychological discomfort in intimate proximity.

A short bridle is easily injured during intercourse, causing severe pain. Often, a man and completely refuses to have sex, fearing repetition of unpleasant sensations. An unresolved problem can cause serious violations in the sexual sphere and significantly disrupt the normal course of life.

Frenulotomy is not performed in such conditions:

  • acute infectious diseases;
  • exacerbation of chronic pathology;
  • inflammation in the skin of the foreskin or scrotum.
Operation is possible only after full recovery and examination by a specialist.

Technique for performing

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Special training is not required. On the eve of plasty, you should shave off the hair on the skin of the scrotum and groin. In the morning on the day of surgery, a light breakfast is allowed. During the procedure, the patient is conscious and does not experience any discomfort or pain.

The whole operation takes no more than 15-30 minutes. The doctor makes a transverse incision of the frenum of the foreskin, and then sutures it in the longitudinal direction. The detected scars( the result of the previous bridle injury) are neatly excised by the scalpel. At the end of all manipulations, seams are applied. Recently, urologists prefer to use absorbable fibers that will not need to be removed after wound healing.

Hospitalization for performing frenulotomy is usually not required. After suturing the patient is for some time in the ward under the supervision of a doctor and a nurse. If you feel well, you can return to your usual activities right after the operation.

Complications of

Plastic surgery of the frenulum is considered to be a fairly simple operation. The procedure is well tolerated by men and usually goes without complications. Among undesirable consequences of frenulotomy,

If the bleeding has developed after several hours or days after plasty, you should definitely see a doctor.

Urologist consultation is also needed in other situations:
